A couple of weeks ago, I took a trip on my own to Utah and Idaho. The kids were with dad the entire time, with the exception of the very last day I was gone. He is so fun and kept them busy, busy doing fun things while I was gone. I'd like to say that it was because they were trying to stay busy so they wouldn't miss me so much, but I know that it is actually because that's the kind of dad he is. :-) While I was gone, it was so fun to receive pictures and text updates as they were doing so many fun things. The kids were definitely in good hands!!
{Feeding the ducks}
{Building an extension for our swing set for Halle's baby swing. I mentioned to Russell that Halle's dirty, muddy slippers in this pic were an indication that the kids were home with dad. I was just teasing as I know that they are so well taken care of when they are with him, that playing outside in slippers doesn't matter. :-)}
{Playing on the ropes course dad created}
{Snacks on the tramp}
{Multiple playtimes at the park}
{Swimming at the YMCA. These pics are of the shower following the swimming. I'm not sure Keyan understand the "Peek out of the shower curtain for a picture" instruction since he streaked out across the locker room, instead. I had to cut off the bottom of this picture to make it blog-appropriate! :-)}
{Playing and reading at the library}
{Going to church. I was so impressed that he even attempted doing Halle's hair. :-)}
{Toy Story 3 at the movie theatre}
{Picking ice cream at Kroger}

How long were you actually gone? How does one person fit in so many different activities in such a small time?! What a great Dad. And I love all those adorable blond heads you're surrounded by.
